Pros and cons of Norstedts engelska fickordbok app for iPhone and iPad

Norstedts engelska fickordbok app good for

Great app to have on you when you learn swedish or go to sweden for holidays. The last update fixed the annoying bug on ios8. the app works great again.
Though the online sites have their strengths in different ways, this app takes the cake with a wealth of good words and accurate translations!
I spent my first few years in the United States, the next twenty-five in Sweden, and then moved back to the US. I used the paper version of this pocket dictionary for many years (back when there were no PDAs, smartphones or tablets). I am glad that I can now read this book on my iPhone! Pros: easy to use and understand, both when I know a word in Swedish but not English, and when I need to translate a word from English to Swedish. Cons: limited vocabulary and limited translations. This is a pocket dictionary, after all!

Some bad moments

There is no way to enter swedish letters with the little dots and circles above. There are no word forms showing plurals or tense. The examples or details in the App Store are misleading. They show grammar but its really a one page general overview. This is not suitable for even a beginner.
Since updating, I haven’t been able to use this nor the professional app: Look up a word and you get a random word on the Swedish side of the app. Example: look up “ord”, the english ‘translation’ is: “off-hand”. Virtually word is similarly wrong.
